Judicial novel by Giovanni di Cagno presented at the Polignano a Mare Possible Book Festival

On July 7 at 9 p.m. Giovanni Di Cagno, partner of Polis Avvocati will present, with a talk by journalist Giuliano Foschini, the work “Judicial Novel,” ed. Cacucci

The Festival

“The Possible Book” is an extraordinary four-day kermesse, during which as many as five squares are involved, hosting, at the same time, at intervals of 30 or 45 minutes, authors, writers, intellectuals who come together to dialogue around a large and always attentive audience.
The strength of the Festival is the power of the word that builds, creates, organizes an ideal community, a kind of polytheia, in which each spectator becomes a privileged interlocutor in a path of construction of ideas.
Because “The Possible Book” is also this. An extraordinary architecture of thought that precisely allows ideas to become the theater of a polyphonic exchange, during which the synergy that is determined between author – speaker – spectator, determines a kind of lay miracle of Montalian memory. And in this it becomes “possible” to grasp the epiphany of a prospect for the cultural growth of the community, a necessary nourishment from which every civitas should not disregard in order to nurture a future that is innervated on the profound awareness of being a citizen, with all the rights that this status entails.

The novel flap

“A clandestine arms trade and a dismissal challenge judgment. State-Mafia negotiations (which who knows if there was or not) and Article 18 of the Workers’ Statute (which is definitely gone). Can one lose one’s job without just cause? And for just cause can one lose one’s future? In the end, who wins and who loses at the roulette of Justice? Two lawyers and a judge (or rather, a judge) are the protagonists of a choral, dense and compelling novel. Between labor cases, criminal investigations and disciplinary proceedings; between parliamentary commissions, institutions of the Republic and secret services; between treacherous journalists, vain generals and unscrupulous industrialists; between sunny lives, unhappy lives and armored lives; between loves, marriages and divorces; the story unfolds to an epilogue without consolation, but also without resignation.”
