TED the famous American platform for communication and dissemination of “ideas worth spreading” comes to Bari with one of its much-followed talks.

The international TEDx conference will stop in Puglia’s capital city on Saturday, Oct. 3, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., at Teatro Margherita and will address the theme “Resilience,” or the physical property of materials to withstand shocks, borrowed in psychological and anthropological parlance to define the ability of people to absorb and react constructively to traumatic changes and events.

Bari law firm Polis Avvocati has decided to promote the initiative in its stop in the Apulian capital, becoming its main sponsor. TEDx Bari and Polis Avvocati have in common, in fact, social commitment, passion for cultural initiatives and the enhancement of young people.

“We want to be at the forefront and make our contribution to this event because we see it as an important opportunity for sharing and a cultural moment of great impact,” commented attorney Michele Laforgia, partner at Polis Avvocati. “Polis is a community of professionals who deal with rights,” Laforgia continued, “and therefore in the management of public and private litigation we too are continuously exercising ‘resilience.’ We are then particularly pleased to support the initiative and skills of the team of young organizers, with an average age of only 24, who brought TEDx here to us. Polis Avvocati believes in young people and does not intend to fail in its role of supporting the city’s cultural activities.”
